DnD Dice Set – Product Review

Dice Variety Is A Must

Dungeons and Dragons is very demanding when it comes to the usage of dice. You would think it would only require six

sided dice like most of the games out there, but no it does not. Some people may be baffled as to why it requires dice with variance of the number of sides. Believe me it does have its reasons. Some scenarios may require a different set of odds instead of a 1 out of 6 chance.

One of the most common odds used, other than the famous 20 sided die, is the percentile die. To properly use percentile dice, you would need to roll one at the same time you roll a 10 sided die. They pretty much go hand in hand for increased accuracy. For those who do not like a percentile die, a 100 sided die would suffice as well but is a pain to find (and sometimes use).

If you want a 50% chance, try out the odd two sided die. As of to how people can roll with that, that is beyond me. Yes, some players do use it.

Unsure Where to Find Dice

I could go over every possible usage of the dice, but we all know why you are reading this. You probably already know how to use it and your game book is requesting for dice other than the six sided die. You looked everywhere or maybe you are unsure what the best dice are out there.

I know what it feels like to hunt for days or even weeks looking for dice. One time I went to a hobbie story and just stared at the mass variety of dice in the glass case – unsure as to which color dice or shape dice I should pick. Sometimes I even ask myself, “Do I really need that die?”

Eventually, I have to acknowledge that I am in desperate need of a die or a pair of dice, such as 20-sided dice or four-sided dice. Since there is too much to pick from, I eventually either pick something random or I pick something that is a color I really like. Hey, we all have to have some sort of logical method of picking something. Using my favorite color or judging the weight of the die seems to help.

Paper Dice as an Alternative

Your only alternative would be to download some paper dice, print them off, and cut them out. Then, you have to go through the pain of taping or gluing the paper dice. It would have been simpler just to buy some dice. Yes, I have made paper dice before. It is very time consuming just to make one paper die.

Real Dice Are Just Better

So let me guide you in the right direction. This will make your whole browsing experience a lot easier and keep you from wasting time making some paper dice. Here I have pointed out four different dice sets available, their costs, and their colors.

Advantages of the above dice mentioned that I have noticed so far is they work good on cloth surfaces and they are pretty cheap.

The only disadvantages that have been noticed is they have small air bubbles on the side of some of the dice and have rounded edges.

Disadvantage or not the dice are still useful and will give you the results you need for your game.

Simply Amazing! Q-Workshop Polyhedral 7-Die Set: GLOW IN DARK Carved Elvish Dice Set (Elven) Black with Glow-in-the-Dark Numbers

Overall Rank: 5 out of 5 stars
Description: It is pretty much the same amount of dice as the previous sets mentioned, but this set is unique. They actually glow in the dark. It would be perfect for those players who want to get that Drow feeling when in a dungeon. Turn off those lights and roll them dice!

Buy This Unique Glow-in-the-dark Set

Advantages: Glow in the dark and numbers are easy to read.
Disadvantages: Rounded corners and lightweight.

So pretty much what is the difference between these dice. The first 3 sets are made by the same company, but they do have different colors. I prefer green personally, but then again that is just me.

The final set is just plain cool. It is a different company than first three sets. Regardless of who made what, you just have to give one of them a try to really know how well the dice will be good for you.

Glow In The Dark Is Just Plain Cool

I still think glow in the dark dice would be a good edition to your gaming set. Plus, if you decide not to use them for awhile, you can show them off to your friends and possibly add them to the front row of your shelf. Maybe you can even run a test and see if they can glow through your dice bag. Maybe also use them for Halloween.

If you need assistance or would just like to leave some more information on the products, feel free to leave me a comment below or shoot a message. If you can find other dice products that you would like me to look over, let me know.
